The Syrian Civil Defense reported that three people were killed and 26 others injured across Syria over the past 24 hours after responding to widespread fires and road accidents. Its teams handled 128 fires affecting agricultural fields and crops, homes, shops, grass, trees, waste and electrical cables; the blazes killed two people and injured six others, including one civilian and five firefighters who sustained minor burns, and caused property damage.
Crews also attended 19 road accidents that left one person dead and 20 injured; first aid was provided at scenes before the wounded were transported to hospitals and teams cleared and secured the sites. The Civil Defense, part of the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, posted the figures on its Telegram channel; on Wednesday five people were killed and 50 injured in similar incidents, as reported by SANA
