Syrian Army uncovers cross-border tunnel linked to Lebanese militias

The Syrian Arab Army reported that its units discovered a sophisticated tunnel running between Syrian and Lebanese territory during routine border-security operations near Hawsh al-Sayyid Ali in the western countryside of Homs. The Defense Ministry's Media and Communication Department said the passage had been prepared and used by Lebanese militias for illicit smuggling activities.

Specialized teams were deployed to permanently seal the tunnel and implement security measures to prevent further breaches, officials said.
