The Syrian government has cut the price of industrial fuel oil allocated to the productive sector from $475 to $400 per ton, Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar announced. The reduction — $75 per ton — is intended to ease operating costs for industrial facilities, enabling them to raise output, expand operations and improve competitiveness.

Al-Shaar said the move is part of coordinated economic policies across ministries to directly support the industrial sector by lowering production costs, encouraging investment, and helping domestic products access local and international markets, thereby contributing to a faster economic recovery, as reported by SANA
