Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Abdul Qader Tahhan met with a French embassy delegation in Damascus on May 25, led by Chargé d’Affaires Jean-Baptiste Faivre and Internal Security Attaché Jean-François Mériguet, to discuss mechanisms for developing bilateral relations. The Interior Ministry said the discussions focused on ways to enhance collaboration between the two countries in areas of internal security and protection services.

The meeting was attended by Colonel Ahmad al-Hamadi, director of the Diplomatic Protection and Security Department, and a representative from the ministry’s International Cooperation Department.
