Churches across Syria observed Palm Sunday with services and community gatherings, including celebrations at the Church of Mar Elias in Izraa (Daraa), the Holy Spirit Cathedral of the Syriac Catholics in Homs, and the Latin Church in Latakia. In Homs a heritage march revived a century-old spring ritual, drawing local participants and linking contemporary worship to longstanding cultural traditions.

Cultural bodies and local institutions also marked March holidays and the anniversary of the Syrian revolution with a range of activities: the Hama Culture Directorate staged commemorative programs, bazaars under the “Athar” initiative in Damascus promoted young talent and intangible heritage, Al-Sanamayn held anniversary observances in Daraa countryside, and Damascus’s Zawaya Gallery showcased memory-driven works by al-Hassoun. These events combined religious observance with efforts to preserve and celebrate Syria’s cultural life, as reported by SANA
