An Israeli drone struck a motorcycle on a road between the towns of Qlaileh and Deir Qanoun in Tyre on Sunday, killing two Syrian nationals, the Lebanese state news agency NNA reported. Civil defense teams, coordinating with the Lebanese army, were working to recover the bodies of the victims.
Lebanese media said Israeli warplanes carried out nine airstrikes across southern Lebanon since dawn. Despite a ceasefire in place since April 17 that was later extended to mid-May, Israeli forces have continued daily strikes and exchanges of fire with Hezbollah; attacks since March 2 have killed more than 2,700 people and displaced over one million, and Israel maintains a so-called buffer zone on Lebanese territory. The United States is hosting talks between the two countries in Washington on May 14-15 as reported by Anadolu Agency
