Escalation

Israeli airstrikes, artillery shelling and demolition operations struck multiple towns across southern Lebanon and western Beqaa, causing deaths, injuries and widespread damage. Lebanese authorities reported three civilians killed and 11 wounded earlier in Nabatieh District. The Lebanese Army said two soldiers were seriously injured when an Israeli drone struck their vehicle on the main road in Ebba (Nabatieh) and were hospitalized.

Impact and locations

Attacks were reported in Marjayoun (Touline, Qabrikha, Dibbin — the latter hit by heavy bombardment including two Apache helicopter-fired missiles and internal demolition), Nabatieh (Haris, Yater, Kfar Dounin, Froun, Ebba), Tyre (Burj Shamali, where rescuers recovered two bodies), Sidon (Zrariyeh), Jezzine (Rihan, Aaichiyeh, Mahmoudiyeh), and West Beqaa (Mashghara). The home of Kfouar’s mayor was destroyed and additional strikes continued on Mashghara. Al-Mansouri, Byout El Saiyad, Qlaileh and Majdal Zoun also came under shelling. The Israeli army issued a third urgent evacuation order for Merouaniyeh, Loubieh, Meidoun, Ansariyah, Zefta and Tefahta, directing residents north of the Zahrani River, and a low-flying Israeli drone was sighted over Beirut, as reported by SANA
