Gaza death toll reaches 72,783 as many victims remain trapped

Medical sources quoted by WAFA report the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 72,783 since the start of Israeli operations in October 2023, with the majority identified as women and children. At least 172,779 people have been injured, but authorities say the figures are incomplete because many victims remain trapped under rubble and inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams.

In the past 24 hours eight Palestinians were reported killed and 29 wounded and brought to hospitals.
