Daraa operation
Syrian anti-drug units carried out a targeted raid in the Daraa countryside after prolonged intelligence monitoring, seizing roughly one million Captagon pills and dismantling a drug packaging machine prepared for smuggling abroad. Forces arrested two suspects at the site, confiscated the shipment bound for export and have initiated legal proceedings while investigations continue.
The Interior Ministry said the operation aims to disrupt trafficking routes, dismantle criminal networks and remove sources of narcotics to protect public security, and pledged sustained action as probes seek to identify the full scope of the smuggling ring as reported by SANA
