Aleppo welcomes new scheduled service
Aleppo International Airport on Wednesday received the inaugural DAN Airlines flight from Bucharest, marking the start of the carrier’s scheduled service to the northern Syrian city. Mustafa Khairallah, head of the Media Department at the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, noted the expansion comes one year after DAN began operating to Damascus and represents a growth in the airline’s presence in Syria.
Officials said the launch signals growing confidence among European carriers in Syria’s civil aviation and reflects recent upgrades to airport infrastructure and operational readiness. Khairallah added that the General Authority will continue efforts to open additional international routes and attract more airlines to the country, as reported by SANA
