Open day in Salamiyah fosters skills and psychological support
The Alwan Youth Volunteer Team organized an open day on Saturday in Salamiyah, Hama countryside, featuring recreational and artistic activities and competitions designed to stimulate intellectual development and provide psychological support. The program targeted children aged 5 to 12, mixing group exercises to promote teamwork with individual activities to build skills; participants were divided into age groups to better structure the sessions, team leader Ali Ar’our told SANA.
Alwan said it runs similar events across villages and towns in the Salamiyah area to support children’s psychological wellbeing and nurture their abilities. A local attendee, Randa Hanna, said the activities created an enjoyable atmosphere and brought happiness to the children. The volunteer team, founded in 2014, aims to empower children and adolescents through social, cultural and recreational programs as reported by SANA
